I'm a Designer who is trying to become an Illustrator.

Ambition

Recently an old ambition has become an insistent, persistent, nagging obsession.

I want to be an illustrator.

To that end, I have been working diligently on honing my skills, finding my "style" and building a body of work so that I can go out and market myself as such.

Stylistically, what I've posted here is sort of all over the map as I try and find my groove, and get proficient with the new generation of drawing and illustration tools. I think that I am driving toward a merging of styles that are represented by my recent "Pepper Goes To The Beach" and "Penelope" deviations - but better.

Marvel comics of my childhood in the 70's was my entry into the world of art, and I've never completely abandoned my love of them. I have no ambition to become a comic artist, but my love of drawing originated in Comics.
